Hundreds of people queued in Paris for the last chance to cash in francs

manual call forward queuing

Last Friday a Paris branch of the Bank of France experienced massive queues as locals wait until the last minute to exchange the Franc.   Despite the fact that it’s been 10 years since the currency was replaced by the euro, I’m sure it will come as no surprise that so many people left it till the last minute.    The first round of exchanges deadline for older notes and coins was back in 2005,when over  45,000 people queued across the France! I wonder if they had any queue management in place and how they managed with the extra people!     From time to time we all experience busy periods, obviously this summer is set to be an extra busy time for businesses in and around London and although these busy periods are a great opportunity for businesses, not being properly prepared to deal with the extra crowds could spell disaster!
